Safety
- Jo-Jo is licenced and insured for 11 persons and operates under the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) code of practice for charter boats.
- Consequently a life-raft, full emergency and personal safety equipment (lifejackets, first aid kit, etc.) is carried.
- Safety at sea is a serious matter and, therefore, alcohol consumption is to be kept to a minimum.
- Also, no illegal or banned substances are to be brought on board.
- Failure to comply may result in the skipper terminating the trip and returning to the Quay.
- The decision of the skipper is final and no refunds will be given.
- Weather conditions at sea are cooler and an extra layer of clothing may be appropriate.
- If the weather looks changeable consideration should be given to bringing waterproof clothing.
- Suitable footwear, with non-slip soles, should be worn
- Children over the age of eight years old are welcome provided:
- They are supervised by an adult at all times
- That they wear a life jacket, either their own or as supplied by the skipper
- We strongly recommend that as far as children are involved that trips should not exceed 4 hours in duration
- In the interest of everyone's safety the Skippers authority and decisions are both absolute and final
